TRUSTECH a finalist in UKTI NW China Awards

The China Awards recognise organisations in the North West of England which have developed business or partnerships with China and were presented at a dinner at The Lowry, Salford Quays. TRUSTECH was announced as a finalist in the Education Links category for its work with Edward Healthcare, a subsidiary of Yuanzhen Investments which provides health and social care for the elderly in China.

The company recently launched The Edward Centre for Health Care Management Research at the MedTECH Centre on Manchester Science Park to explore international care systems which could be adopted for use in China.

TRUSTECH was instrumental in bringing the centre to Manchester, and has signed a £1 million 10-year contract to provide advice, research and information services, working with Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC) Health Technology Hub and MIMIT (Manchester Integrating Medicine and Innovative Technology). It follows an earlier project in which the partners delivered a comprehensive set of manuals detailing the procedures for operating care homes.

Dr Richard Deed from TRUSTECH said: "We are delighted that our work with Edward Healthcare has been recognised. It highlights the expertise we have here in the UK in terms of elderly care and associated products and technologies. Through this innovative partnership, we can continue to identify best practice and contribute to training and education programmes for elder care staff in the UK and China."
