New forms of funding: free event series

New Forms of Funding is a series of free to attend workshops looking at a range of emerging forms of investment funding relevant to local anchor institutions such as combined/local authorities, universities and NHS organisations.

These are collaborative events supported by Universities UK, the NHS Confederation, HEFCE and the LGA. The focus will be on various types of bonds, local funds and integrated funding approaches for strategic infrastructures and sites.

As ‘risk-based’ opportunities, they will require local institutions to think and act very differently when compared to traditional grant regimes. Institutions providing the finance will identify the ingredients of a successful application and practical case studies will transfer best practice. The programme will be supported by an online community of practice. While many of these funding mechanisms will be new to the NHS in England, they are becoming increasingly relevant.

These workshops will help you explore what is right for your organisation and for your local partners.

ou can register now for the next two workshops:

Integrated finances for strategic infrastructures and sites – 1030-1330 7th September, City University, London.

Focus on Enterprise Zones, UK Trade & Investment Regeneration Investment, Tax Increment Financing, Combined Authority Investment Funds, One Public Estate.

From grants to loans – 1030-1330 14th September, Sheffield Hallam University.

Focus on European Investment Bank, Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, Innovate UK loans and Green Investment Bank.
