Janet Glenn....

"My name is Janet Glenn and I have been employed by Greater Manchester Academic Science Network (GMAHSN), as an Industry Procurement Advisor. I have spent the last 11 years working in the Public Sector, in Councils and the NHS.

For the Councils I contract managed and procured a range of supported living services and care homes, from hostels for the homeless to houses for people with a learning or physical disability.

In the NHS I have contract managed and procured a range of services from Acute Sector contracts to Primary Care contracts, Community Services contracts and Mental Health Services. For the last 12 months I was employed by an acute trust as a Procurement Manager, procuring goods, supplies and services for 2 hospital sites.

Previous to my Public Sector employment I was self-employed working in sales, debt recovery and fraud investigation.

In my post as Industry Procurement Advisor funded by the Greater Manchester Academic Science Network (GMAHSN) employed via TRUSTECH  I am able to give advice and support to SMEs and innovators based in the GMAHSN footprint on NHS procurement and facilitate the uptake of new technology and SMEs selling into the NHS."
