Emerging Technologies Competition

01 March 2014

The Royal Society of Chemistry is organising the Emerging Technologies Competition.

Applications are invited from university researchers and small companies working in the chemical, life and materials sciences for a chance to turn their research into commercial success.

The Prize consists of on-going mentoring and support from renowned multinational companies, up to £10,000 cash prize and more. The mentor companies are Procter and Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, Croda and Catalent Applied Drug Delivery Institute. Their support may include prototyping, customer evaluation, access to laboratory space, equipment and more, all tailored to your technology needs.

The applicants can be individuals or teams and they must submit a brief online application to the Royal Society of Chemistry by 1 March 2014. The entries will be judged by an independent panel of science and business experts and the shortlisted applications will be invited for the second round of the competition on 25 June 2014, in London. Each team will pitch to a specialist panel, following which the winners will be announced on the same day.

In addition, all finalists can access FREE one-to-one advice from business, finance and IP specialists worth £500.
